Where’s The Beet?

Beet roots contain nutrients that may help lower your blood pressure, fight cancer and inflammation, boost your stamina, and support detoxification. The green leafy tops are equally, if not more, nutritious with nutrients that may strengthen your immune system, support brain and bone health, and more. In addition, the greens have more iron than spinach, as well as a higher nutritional value overall than the beetroot itself. When choosing beets at the grocery store, buy organic, as most are genetically modified.

Here are some of the many ways to enjoy beets:

*Grate them raw over salads
*Add them to your fresh vegetable juice
*Lightly steam them
*Marinate them with lemon juice, herbs, and olive oil
